Bovine Pili Shield
Bovine Pili Shield +C
Dairy Cattle Vaccine
Product Information [pdf]
Calf scours caused by E. coli bacteria is a
leading cause of sickness and death in the first seven days after
birth. Disease risk is
very high because the bacteria are so prevalent and calves are
so susceptible to infection.
The best and most cost-effective
way to prevent E. coli scours is to vaccinate the cow
so that she will pass protection to
the calf
through colostrum. A single dose of Bovine Pili Shield,
given 12 months to 8 weeks prior to calving, helps prevent calf
scours
caused by E. coli K99. The product’s long duration
of immunity allows maximum flexibility in timing your vaccination
schedule to fit the way you handle cattle.
For added protection, Bovine Pili Shield
+ C also protects against
Clostridium perfringens Type C. Use Bovine Pili Shield
+ C anytime within 8 to 16 weeks for springing heifers or at dry
off (8 weeks prior to calving). For more comprehensive scours
protection that includes rotavirus and coronavirus, use Scour
Bos 9.
