Objective
Keep pigs healthy and growing from weaning to market. Prepare
pigs for stresses of weaning, nursery and environmental changes;
prevent
diseases that keep pigs from growing and gaining weight.
Challenges
Respiratory and enteric diseases that commonly affect pigs at about
16 weeks of age when maternal antibodies have become less effective;
commingling; changes in feed, environment and management.
Control and treatment program
Denagard® 10
Medicated Premix can be
used in feed rations to control ileitis associated with Lawsonia
intracellularis.
It also treats and controls swine dysentery associated with Brachyspira
(Serpulina) hyodysenteriae.
Denagard® Liquid
Concentrate treats
swine pneumonia due to Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae in an easy-to-use
water-soluble solution. This medication for pigs’ drinking
water is convenient to administer. It also treats swine dysentery
associated with Brachyspira (Serpulina) hyodysenteriae.

Caution: Do not feed Denagard
10 undiluted. Do not use in feeds for animals other than swine.
Contraindications: Swine being treated with Denagard (tiamulin)
should not have access to feeds containing polyether ionophores
(e.g., lasalocid, monensin, narasin, salinomycin and semduramicin)
as adverse reactions may occur. See product label for directions
