Poly Serum®
Beef Cattle Vaccine
Product Information [pdf]
Poly Serum contains protective antibodies
required to prevent scours and pneumonia in baby calves and other
cattle.
Poly Serum is
a highly effective colostrum supplement in situations where colostrum
quality and quantity are questionable. It is especially useful for
purchased baby calves where colostrum intake is unknown.
Poly Serum
contains antibodies from five organisms commonly associated with
diarrhea and respiratory problems in baby calves and other
cattle. It fortifies treatment programs when used therapeutically
with antibiotics or other
drugs when treating diarrhea or pneumonia. These five organisms
are:
For calf pneumonia:
- Pasteurella
multocida
- Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica
- Actinomyces pyogenes
For scours:
- E. coli
- Salmonella typhimurium
Unlike a bacterin which requires one to three
weeks to develop effective levels of immunity, Poly Serum delivers
specific antibodies
immediately
with every dose.
